The ISLAND SPIRIT 401 is manufactured in Cape Town, South Africa by Fortuna Catamarans. Navel architect Phil Southwell designed the first ISLAND SPIRIT in 1995 and it has evolved to become one of the most luxuriously appointed blue water cruising catamaran in her class. Her gracious lines and high performance hulls, coupled with her ease of handling in all conditions, makes her a favorite among cruisers.

The ISLAND SPIRIT's most striking feature still remains the lavish interior and cockpit space. It is equal to that of a much larger yacht with 7 ft. of headroom at the entrance and 6.5 ft all through the hulls. The unique cockpit design allows walk through access to the "sugerscoops" for easy and safe entry from a tender or dock. The ISLAND SPIRIT has a proven International record and was awarded the CE-Mark in Europe.

The ISLAND SPIRIT 401 was designed with maximum space and comfort in mind to make the sailing experience one of enjoyment. The saloon with it's opening port lights is airy and spacious with a 360 degree panoramic view. The raised 8 person L-shaped seating arrangement in luxurious leather, allows for generous living space in the saloon. The table is done in Cherry or Maple wood finishes with Corian or Wilson art shelves and work tops. The quality finishes throughout, emphasizes the lavish interior space blended with the practical layout. The over sized Galley in a U-shape makes entertaining a pleasure. The double sinks, dish drainer, pull-out taps and drainable stove top makes cleaning up a breeze. There is ample storage in the galley and under the saloon seating. The functional fridge and freezer rounds off this functional galley arrangement. The ISLAND SPIRIT 401 is available in two models:

• 3 Cabin version with a luxury, on suite, owners cabin on port side and a midship head with two cabins on starboard side.
• Owners head available with bath or shower.
• 4 Cabin version with two midsip heads with two cabins in both hulls.
